Easy:
These trips offer an easy pace and an average-to-sedentary level of fitness. Light walking and hiking that is suitable for most levels. If horse back riding, a rider who has limited experience and is able to trot but not canter. Accommodations usually in hotels or mountain huts with modern shared facilities
Moderate:
An average level of fitness or some experience with the featured activity is recommended. You may still have to walk, ride or paddle for two to three hours daily. A rider should have a firm seat with the skills to mount or dismount unassisted, comfortable and in control at the walk and trot and short canters but does not ride regularly.
Challenging:
These active trips require you to have performed the featured activity regularly, with some periods on challenging terrain. Activities are mandatory and you may be traveling at high elevations. Hiking, riding or paddling for 4-8 hours daily. Some lodging may include rustic or remote camping or cowboy huts with out modern facilities.
Ultimate Challenge:
On these trips, you must be extremely physically fit and are expected to hike, kayak or ride in all terrains. Hiking or riding may be over 8 hours per day and your lodging and/or camping accommodations may be primitive and in remote locations without modern facilities. Riders should be capable of handling a spirited horse.
Luxury Hotel:
Based in a luxury resort the excursions are varied and there is something for every level of fitness or interest. Experienced guides meet with guests during their stay to advise them each day’s activities. Not everyone has to climb a volcano or hike the highest peak, but those who want to experience the extreme, can do it. You simply may choose to spend the day pool side or enjoying the spa - the choice is up to you!
